I am grateful for all of my blessings and the opportunities this year has brought forth. I am thankful for another year to continue with sammysamstyle. Like everyone else, the past year has allowed me, times of solitude and moments of reflection. It has permitted me to re-evaluate what’s truly important. What’s important is the relationship I have with myself. It’s the self love I express to myself. When I’m good with ME, it will have a positive effect on my relationships with loved ones and people whom I cross path.

I aspire to continue to discover every part of me. My light and shadow. I desire to express authentically and to be fearless and to never shy away from the spotlight. This reminds me of a quote I saw when I was working in Human Resources. Cindy working at reception, every week she would post up a new quote or riddle to create a positive vibe. Its one thing I look forward to every Monday. The best one she posted or the one which resonated with me the most is:

”the thing about being yourself, is that no one can tell you you’re doing it wrong.” - Unknown

So simple but so hard at the same time. Especially this day and age. But it’s so true. It’s what we should be striving for. To be your unique self for YOURSELF and not for anyone else. And what’s crucial is not to look to others for validation.

With style and grace, I make a promise to myself, I’ll simply be me. No one else. Just me.
